Profile

Alina is the Policy Advisor for anglophone West Africa, Central Africa and Migration at the Sub-Saharan Africa Department, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Berlin. In this role she coordinates the foundation’s projects in the region and connects KAS’s work abroad with Germany.

Before, she served as the Deputy Director of the Regional Programme Political Dialogue Asia of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, based in Singapore. There, she was responsible for the programme’s activities in the field of multilateralism and regional cooperation as well as the co-host of the German language podcast “Asien Aktuell”, covering the latest developments in Asia and featuring expert interviews.

Before she joined the KAS Political Dialogue Asia team in Singapore, Alina worked for the KAS Head Office in Berlin as well as for the foundation’s Country Office in South Africa. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Development Policy from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and the University of Cape Town, South Africa. In her undergraduate studies, Alina majored in Political Science.
