Dr. Abel Nzabona

Abel Nzabona (PhD) is a professional demographer with research interests in Migration, Environment and Population Dynamics. He has taught at Makerere University in the Department of Geography, Geo-informatics and Climatic Sciences (2000-2006) and Department of Population Studies (2006-2021). He has researched on various migration issues including collaborating with IDRC to conduct a survey on Youth Employment and Migration in Eastern and Southern Africa. He has published journal articles and book chapters on internal migration dynamics in Uganda. Currently he is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Basic Research, Kampala and a member of the National Coordination Mechanism on Migration (NCM_UG).
