Profile

Mr. Ojuko Joel Cox is the Vice Chairperson of the EOC representing the constituency of older Persons. Mr. Ojuko Joel Cox is a lawyer by profession and seasoned civil servant who has served with Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs on various positions of responsibility for a period spanning over 20 years before retiring in 2010 to private legal practice.

While in private legal practice, he served on various boards of government and private institutions. At the time of joining the EOC as member of the Commission he was a member of the board of governors of Arua regional referral hospital. He also served in Gulu as the Regional Head of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs at the peak of the insurgency.

Mr. Ojuko extensively carried out human rights promotion activities among the vulnerable victims of war and provided timely litigation and legal advisory services to local authorities and other government institutions, consequently laying a firm foundation for the desired rule of law among the marginalized population of Northern Uganda.
